Why My Firm Is Called ‘Melody Advisory’

People ask me why my advisory firm is called “Melody,” and there are actually a few reasons why I chose that name.

Music is woven into pretty much everything I do. I come from a long line of musicians, performers, dancers, singers, and (interestingly) doctors and therapists. A lot of creativity, a lot of teaching, and a lot of insight into how humans function. I trained as a singer myself (soprano, y'know the one who usually sings the melody).

But that is not the only reason.

I chose "Melody" because in any musical arrangement, the melody is what brings coherence.

It is the through-line.

The part that cuts through the noise.

The thing that makes the rest make sense.

Without a melody, even the best musicians can accidentally create… well… chaos.

And that is exactly how operations work in an organization.

Processes, systems, roles, and data are the instruments. They each matter, but they need a clear through-line to come together. Without it, even great teams can end up with dissonance, drift, or that familiar “why is this so hard” feeling playing on repeat.

Melody Advisory exists to create that through-line.

To turn operational noise into something clear, structured, and actually enjoyable to work in.

Bad processes are expensive. A good melody can change everything.

If your operations feel like a cacophony, it might be time to find your melody. Don’t hesitate to reach out.
